Faton Mazreku, born in 1990, is a painter who lives and works in Malisheva, Kosovo. He received his Master degree in 2015 from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Prishtina. His paintings were exhibited in several group shows, among others in Kosovo, Macedonia and Albania. He had solo shows at the Gallery of the Ministry of Culture Prishtina, Kosovo in 2015 and at the Cultural Information Center in Skopje, Macedonia in 2018. He has won several prizes including the Artists of Tomorrow Award 2016, awarded by Stacion – Center for Contemporary Art Prishtina, Kosovo. Mazreku was a guest artist at Villa Romana in May 2017 during the Hajde! exchange programme, which was initiated in 2014 by the artist Petrit Halilaj to foster exchange with the young art scene in Kosovo.
